About Jym

Hi, I’m Jym. Welcome to my blog.

I’m not a millionaire

I’m not a full time ‘pro-blogger’

I’m not an ‘Internet Marketing Guru’

I am a blogger and entrepreneur, and I live in the beautiful rainforests of Tasmania with my family.

I’m also a diligent and passionate student of Marketing, Blogging, Social Media and Personal Transformation, and I love sharing the things I’ve learned (and am learning) with like minded bloggers, marketers, entrepreneurs and ‘web-enthusiasts’ from across the globe.

For many years my sole focus was spiritual freedom. I spent thousands upon thousands of hours in meditation, supported by extensive exploration of Yoga, Tai Chi, NLP, Astrology, Healing and other related disciplines.

I was virtually living the ‘Four Hour Work Week’ – working a few months a year, then spending the rest of my time in the Himalayas and on the beaches of India and Asia following my passions.

But things were about to change…

Although the spiritual path still resides at the heart of my journey in life, the birth of my daughter Zaia moved me into a completely new realm. And so my quest for a higher degree of financial freedom came to the fore…

I’d already been inspired by two great books – Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich’ and Harv Eker’s ‘Secret’s of the Millionaire Mind’ (which I heartily recommed – download them here), but it was time for action.

Network Marketing was my first port of call. I love the MLM business model, and there’s some very real possiblities to make money if you’re dedicated enough.

As I began to search around on Google for ways to build my MLM business successfully, I discovered various training materials and systems – most notably the brilliant Magnetic Sponsoring – which lead me to start my own blog, hoping to generate leads online.

Over time though I began to realize that my interest in MLM was completely eclipsed by my interest in Blogging. I’d become captivated by marketing itself – particularly internet marketing, and I decided to let my network marketing business take a backseat in order to give more time to study these new areas and then build my very own business based upon them.

The Birth of Blogger’s Alchemy

And so (catalysed by T Harv Eker’s Guerrilla Business Intensive Seminar) Blogger’s Alchemy was born. There’s more about the Blogger’s Alchemy vision in my Mission Statement.

Since that time I’ve been fully immersed in the world of blogging, marketing, social media, productivity and entrepreneurship, and Blogger’s Alchemy has been steadily growing and evolving all the while.

Recent developments here include the new weekly Blogging Schedule, along with the launch of my newsletter containing exclusive tips, material and strategies for marketing your blog successfully. You can also head over to Like the new Blogger’s Alchemy Facebook Page which is up and running (finally!)

A quick peak into the Alchemist’s ‘Crystal Ball’

I’m about to open the doors here to guest posts, and am very excited to be offering free blog marketing consultations for a limited time as well – get in touch with me via my Contact Form if either of these opportunities are of interest to you.

As for the longer term future, there’s a couple of e-books on the way (perhaps even a ‘hard copy one too?), and a few more tasty tricks and ideas up my sleeve. I’m still madly absorbing and learning how to use the most powerful and effective marketing and blogging techniques and knowledge I can find, and everything I learn and test will make it’s way out on to the posts and pages, newsletters and products here for you to read.

That’s the story so far. Have a dig around Blogger’s Alchemy to find out more about what I do. The category tabs below my header are a great place to start. For even more exclusive content, sign up for my newsletter in the box at the top right of this page.

It really helps me out when you share my posts with your social media networks (thanks in advance!), and you can always ask questions either in the comments section, or by getting in touch with me directly. Either way, I’d love to hear from you.

And just because you read this far down (or skipped to the bottom, it’s ok, I forgive you) I’d love to share with you a few pieces of my digital art

To Your Abundance, Freedom And Success…

Wow Jym, you surprised me :D

It’s good to know that you’re now on your way to both financial and spiritual freedom! They are my two biggest goals in life as well. Although I might follow a different route, but with the same destination, I think there are many things I can learn from you and your blog!

    Best wishes Jym!

    Hi Jym,

Found your blog a few days ago and have been going through your back catalogue. Enjoying it very much – you have a different way of getting the familiar blogging tips across I think.

I love your story above. Children are such a gift, and they change our whole lives – for the better – when they arrive.

You need to enjoy your kids when you have the chance. I turned round and my oldest boy was 18! Just like that. It happened overnight I’m sure :)

Anyway – I send you warm greetings from Scotland. I’ll be back here often I think (so keep putting up those great posts).

    Best Regards,

    Hamish

    I Jym,

I agree your blog is fantastic! I would love to learn more about blogging?

I got a tremendous value from attending T Harv It was fantastic.

My name is Bruno I’m a entrepreneur from Melbourne, I believe I too have found my passion and there is nothing more rewarding that helping enough people get what they want first, you automatically get what you want…

Would love to chat further jym.

    Kind regards,

    Bruno

  6. Isn’t it amazing what the birth of a child will do to your priorities and goals in life? Mine are nearly grown, now. I think “embracing change” is about adjusting our thinking as needed, not getting stuck on one notion of success, when life shows us another path that might be more rewarding and interesting.

You should get to know my “Surviving the Blog” teammate, Ntathu – she’s a yoga teacher in the UK and an excellent blogger and social networker. I’ll bet you two could talk for hours.

    Hello Jym!

That is kinda an inspirational story, this is good for a newbie like me and get some ideas on how to go through in blogging and have a success on it. You’re an inspiration to me Jym, and of course to other person here around.

  8. Interesting startup story, Jym. It seems that most bloggers (including me) came online from MLM, in the quest for an effective marketing that works and is not obtrusive.

I love the direction you’re moving your blog and contents. I look forward to reading more of your posts:)

Grtae Blog Jym ( am having an issue wih me delete button so do excuse typos)..

It’s from the haert and I totally agree with you- I was in a corporate job and wanted flexibility…as u said financial freedom can assure that t a certain level. But yes, we do need discipline as well. So easy to get distarcted.

Wish you well Jym!! I have started my networking journey…hope it becomes successful soon.

    Warm wishes,
    Uma

    • Jym says:

No problem Uma, I love your quirky spellings as a result!

Thanks for stopping to share a little of your story too. I never had to move out of the corporate world but I’m sure it doesn’t offer the kind of freedom that I and many others seek.

Without the discipline from outside in the form of a boss though, it all has to come from within if we’re to succeed. It’s an exciting challenge!

Thanks fro your comment and warm wishes Uma, I wish you all the best on your journey too. Look forward to connecting with you further along the way…

I too am seeking freedom, I believe it starts in the mind. This is a great blog. I have tried network marketing in the past and am trying it again. I think I can learn a lot here.

    • Jym says:

      Hi Melva,

Always good to meet other freedom seekers!

The first step to living a freer life is certainly freeing your own mind – it’s no small feat though. Recognizing our limitations, what we can change and what we must accept is a good place to start.

Network Marketing is a great vehicle for moving towards financial freedom – I’m glad to know you’re trying it again, I really hope it works for you! Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.

      Thanks for your comment

  14. I guess to me freedom does equals to financial freedom. Whether be it home based business or internet marketing, it’s really the greatest opportunity at this time. I so happy to be connecting with like-minded people.

Please add my friend request at Facebook.

    Cheers,
    Cheekeong

    • Jym says:

      Hi Cheekeong,

Thanks for coming by and I’m glad to connect with you too. It’s certainly true that financial freedom is what gives us the freedom to choose how, when and with whom we live. Of course, the amount you require for your chosen lifestyle is different for each of us…

I agree with you that network marketing, particularly on the internet, is a wonderful vehicle for creating more wealth and freedom in our lives. Always a good point to remember that financial freedom alone will not make you free!

  15. Great Blog Jym I look forward to following you!

  16. Satoko says:

Hi Jym! I love your idea of meditation :) I totally agree with you about home business flexibility and can potentially be done anywhere. I’m reading 4hour work week by Timothy Ferriss now and he proves just that. How’s life in Tassie? Never been there before and must visit one day! after all it’s only a ferry ride away : D

    • Jym says:

      Thanks Satoko!

True meditation is the purest expression of our direct existential nature. I recommend it whole heartedly! There are also the bi-products of peace, serenity, focus etc…
I’m about to read Timothy Ferriss’ book – Just ordered it on Amazon! You’re right, freedom and flexibility are much more accessible with this kind of business.

Life in Tassie is wonderful! It’s a beautiful place, not too many people (but enough!), much nature, many rainbows… Look me up if you decide to come this way…

  17. meditating in the Himalayas…..I'll join you on that one!

    best wishes
    Charlie Holles

    • Jym says:

      See you there Charlie!

I know they call Network Marketing a ‘work from home’ business, but potentially, it can be a ‘work from Himalayas’ business too!
